Choose a venue by flow, privacy, wet-weather capacity and guest experience — not photographs alone.
Up to 20 guests: privacy matters most
A private villa, boutique resort or quiet restaurant terrace can feel more intentional than a large ballroom divided down.
Check noise restrictions, transport access and whether the venue can provide a comfortable indoor alternative without losing the intimate atmosphere.
20–40 guests: look for flexible transitions
This size works well when the ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner can move naturally between two or three nearby spaces.
Avoid venues where guests must walk long uncovered routes or wait while the same area is completely rebuilt.
40–100+ guests: infrastructure becomes part of the design
Large weddings need reliable kitchens, power, toilets, loading access, guest rooms, transport staging and a realistic rain plan.
A beautiful lawn is not enough. Ask how the resort handles simultaneous events, curfews, supplier access and a full-capacity indoor move.
